DRESS CODE

BOYS – KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 8


SLACKS: Black twill pleated dress pants. A belt must be worn with all pants.

 
SHIRTS: Short or long sleeve Oxford white dress shirt or red short or long sleeve polo
with logo.

 

SWEATERS: Black V-neck monogrammed pullover.  Sweater may be worn over white Oxford dress shirt or red polo.  Other sweaters or hoodies are NOT allowed.


SOCKS: Black or white crew/ankle socks only.  “No show” socks (hidden under the shoe) and colored socks are not allowed.    
 
SHOES: Dress shoes (black or brown) are required at all times except on P.E. class days. No sandals, open back, or any shoe that resembles an athletic shoe, no boots.

 

GIRLS - KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 3


JUMPERS:: Flynn & O’Hara plaid jumper - appropriate length (no more than 2 inches above the knee)

 
SLACKS: Black twill pants may be worn from November through March.

      Black leggings or Knit pants are not allowed.

 

SWEATERS: Black V-neck monogrammed pullover sweater may be worn over jumper or with slacks

                 over blouse or red polo.  Other sweaters or hoodies are NOT allowed.


SHIRTS: Short or long sleeve white Peter Pan collar blouse with jumper or slacks.

 
Red polo with logo may be worn with black slacks November through March.


SOCKS: Ankle socks, knee socks, or tights – black or white only. “No show” socks (hidden under the shoe) and colored socks are NOT allowed.

SHOES: Dress shoes (black/brown or saddle) are required at all times except on P.E. class days.
No sandals, flip flops, open back shoes, or any shoe that resembles an athletic shoe, no
boots or high top sneakers, and no shoes with a heel over 2 inches (measured
from the back exterior of the shoe) are permitted.

 

GIRLS - GRADE 4 TO 8


SKIRTS: Flynn & O’Hara appropriate length plaid skirt.  Skirt must be no more than 2 inches above the knee.

 
SLACKS: Black twill pants may be worn from November through March.  Black legging or knit pants are NOT allowed.

 
SWEATERS: Black V-neck monogrammed pullover sweater may be worn over white blouse or red polo. Other sweaters or hoodies are NOT allowed.


SHIRTS: White long or short sleeve oxford blouse with button down collar.  Red polo with logo may be worn with black slacks (November through March).

 
SOCKS: Ankle socks, knee socks, or tights – black or white only. “No show” socks (hidden under the shoe) and colored socks are NOT allowed.

PLEASE NOTE: No colored Tee Shirts are to be worn under white or red shirts or blouses for Boys or Girls.

All uniforms must be clean and pressed with all buttons attached and hem intact. Shirttails should be tucked in while the student is on campus.

 

During the WINTER months, girls may wear pants under their uniforms during arrival and dismissal only.

 

SPRING/SUMMER UNIFORM
These uniforms may be worn for the months of September & October and April to June.

Girls K – 8: Black twill skort with red polo shirt.
                   Sneakers may be worn with this uniform only.

                    Black, Brown or Saddle shoes may be worn with skort. 

                   White or Black socks – no shows and colored socks are NOT allowed.

Boys K – 6: Black Flynn & O’Hara walking shorts with red polo shirt.
                   Sneakers may be worn with this uniform only.  

        White or Black socks – no shows and colored socks are NOT allowed.

 

ATHLETIC WEAR

 

Students may wear school sports - related sweatshirt/hoodies and sport uniform shirts on game days only.

 

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM (K – 8)
There is a special uniform for Physical Education classes.

SHIRTS: All PE red uniform t-shirts must have the school logo.  Red sweatshirt with school logo may be worn over gym shirt on gym days.

 
SHORTS: Solid black, mesh (athletic) shorts.  Other black shorts, spandex shorts and leggings are NOT allowed.

 

NEW THIS YEAR:  Due to Covid regulations, students will not be allowed to change in school.  Gym uniforms may be worn to school on Gym days only.  Black athletic pants will be allowed over shorts and a red sweatshirt with logo has been added as an option on gym days.

.
SNEAKERS: Tennis/athletic shoes need to be worn with white or black socks.  Colored or basketball socks are NOT allowed. No platform sneakers, no sneakers with strapped backs or “heelie” style footwear is allowed.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY:  Red fleece pull over with school emblem may be worn.

                                                                        
JEWERLY: NO jewelry is to be worn during Physical Education class. 

 

HAIRSTYLE
All students’ hair should be worn neatly.   “Unnatural colored” and any extreme haircuts are not allowed.

 

MAKEUP/BODY TATTOOS

No tattoos are allowed.
K – 5:  Make up may NOT be worn.

6 – 8   Natural make up is allowed, at teacher’s discretion.

 

OUT OF UNIFORM (Dress Down) GUIDELINES

Students may not wear:
Flip-flop sandals
Open back shoes
Strapless/spaghetti strapped tops/dresses, no bare shoulders
Tee shirts with inappropriate writing/pictures
Shoes that convert to roller skates
Pajama pants/tops
Skin tight dresses or skirts

Ripped jeans

Shirts with mid drift showing

 

Leggings may be worn with appropriate length top covering below the waist.

 

BIRTHDAY OBSERVATION

 

Students in Grades K – 8 may come to school dressed out-of-uniform on their birthday (if birthday falls on a weekend or holiday, the student may dress down the day before).

 


UNIFORM VIOLATION POLICY

 

First Time Offense:  Verbal Warning with documentation and parent/teacher communication

Second Offense:      Official Uniform Violation form

Third Offense:          Detention

 

Due to COVID regulations, parents will not be allowed to bring forgotten uniforms to the school.

 

Parents will be asked to sign and return written warnings.  Advance notification will be given if student is to serve detention.
