Our School Library

With a vision and the collaboration of many volunteer hours, our school Library has expanded beyond just a place to access books to a multimedia learning space designed to accommodate all our students’ needs and address multiple learning styles and levels in a single location. Learning Commons provides our students with differentiated resources, equipment, and modular furnishings to foster the essential skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

All grades have access to Learning Commons to increase their technology skills and be engaged in the learning process. Like our Technology Lab, Learning Commons empowers students to share and participate in the instructional process. Comfortable, flexible furniture encourages cooperative learning and allows students to customize the area to suit their needs for both individual and group study. Students also have access to a multitude of wireless devices, books, and an interactive whiteboard.

In addition to using Learning Commons with their teachers, our students also visit the library once per week. Students may request to borrow a book from the library. A book must be signed out by the teachers and returned in the same condition it was in. Reimbursement must be made for lost or damaged books. Our library collection of books, chosen for their educational, recreational, or spiritual value, is constantly updated and expanded.
