Sports

Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls takes pride in our sports teams and we offer our students many opportunities to participate. Diocesan policy requires that all students involved in the athletic program have a current year Sports Physical form from their physician as well as a parent/guardian Sports permission slip.

Boys Basketball - Any third through sixth grade boy can play on the boys basketball team. Several area schools are involved in the league, therefore, we play at home and have away games. Mr. Esposito is the coach. Practices are held after school on Tuesdays in our gym. Games are played on Thursday evening and Saturday at 12:00 pm; we play at all the schools involved. The season runs from November to the end of February. Parents need to provide transportation after the practices and to the games. A permission slip and code of ethics form is required to join.

Girls Basketball - Mr. Dzielski is the girls basketball coach and girls in grades 3-6 are encouraged to join. Practices are scheduled after school in our gym. Our school provides the basketball jerseys; games are held on Thursday evening and Saturday at 12:00 pm. Parents need to provide transportation after the practices and to the games. A permission slip and code of ethics form is required to join.

Cheerleading - If you love to cheer and want to make new friends, our Cheerleading team is for you! Mrs. Kratts and Miss Lopardi are the cheerleading coaches. Tryouts for girls in fourth to sixth grade are held in October/November. The cheerleaders practice twice a week after school in our gym and cheer on our Boys Basketball teams on Thursdays and Saturdays. Uniforms are provided by our school. Usually at the end of the cheerleading season there are competitions the girls can participate in. Parents need to provide transportation after the practices and to the games. A permission slip, physical, and code of ethics form is required to join.

The following forms are required to participate in any of our sports programs:
