Yearbook Club - Join us and help design our annual yearbook. The Yearbook Club meets the first Wednesday during the months of January, February and March after school until 3:00 pm. Fifth and sixth grade students are welcome to join. The students help in drawing graphics, identify students in pictures, and assist in the layout of our yearbook. Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Casero are the advisors. Transportation home at 3:00 pm and a permission sheet are required to attend.

Newspaper - The students of Catholic Academy are proud to present their very own newspaper, The Catholic Academy Gazette. Students in grades 5 & 6 are welcome to join. Students use their creative minds and write sports reviews, teacher interviews, and they even make their own puzzles. Every issue includes coloring pages drawn by the students so even the younger kids can buy an issue. All proceeds are donated to charity. The Newspaper staff meets after school about once a month. Mr. Dzielski is the advisor.

Christmas Play/Stage Crew - Catholic Academy each year has a Christmas Program and Spring Musical. Our Christmas Program consists of a play and music sung by our Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third grade students. The Christmas play is a big event which includes many people participating in the production. Only students in grades Fourth through Sixth can tryout for the play. Our art department creates the stage props and backgrounds. The stage crew helps with the audio, lights, and arranging the props. A lot of hard work is put into our production with many afternoons and after school practice beforehand. Many people come to watch and enjoy the play.

Student Buddy Program - Each of our classrooms is paired off with another classroom to help in reading, writing, mentoring, role models, friendship. This is done on a monthly basis during the school day. This year, Kindergarten is paired with our fifth grade, first grade with third grade, second grade with fourth grade, and preK-4 with the sixth graders.

After School Help in ELA and Math - Need extra tutoring in ELA or Math? Our fourth, fifth and sixth grade teachers meet weekly with any students who need that extra assistance in English Language Arts or mathematical problem-solving. The session is held after school until 3:30 pm. Contact your teacher as to which day is on their schedule.

Daily School Activities - Before we begin each school day, our sixth grade students are in charge of morning announcements which also include the Pledge of Allegiance, morning prayer, and a patriotic song. The sixth graders raise and lower the American flag each school day and have a Birthday Singers group for any student celebrating a birthday that day. Each classroom also has designated students who assist in paper recycling collections and function as class messengers.
